TOKYO - 5.9 magnitude shock japan earthquake.

According to U.S. geologists, the new quake was close only to hit a magnitude 9.0 earthquake on March 11, 2011 that killed approximately 20,000 people.

But no one reported any casualties nor issued a tsunami warning.

Recorded earthquake 64 kilometers from Iwaki and 112 kilometers from Sendai City and a depth of 37 kilometers. (CNA)
